On August 22nd, the preliminary round of Shandong Heavy Industry's first International Language Championship, themed 'Tech Empowered Future Equipped' and titled 'Communicating with the World, Voicing the Future,' launched simultaneously across eight competition zones nationwide.

The main competition zone was located at Shandong Heavy Industry Group's headquarters in Jinan, with additional zones established in Weifang, Jining, Central China, East China, Northwest, Southwest, and Beijing, based on the geographical distribution of the group's subsidiaries nationwide. The preliminary round took the form of written examinations, with nearly 3,000 young employees from the group's subsidiaries concentrating intently and responding calmly in each venue, engaging in a competitive showcase of foreign language skills. Ye Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, conducted on-site inspections at the Jinan competition zone.

This International Language Championship serves not only as a showcase of Shandong Heavy Industry's young talent but also as a comprehensive assessment of foreign language capabilities. Among the nearly 3,000 contestants, besides English, there is abundant talent across 11 minor language fields including Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, French, and German.
